Colorado Springs is often referred to as one of the healthiest cities in America, this is not surprising with so many opportunities to be active. Of course, there are gyms and fitness centers that are available but, the outdoor amenities are plentiful. There are a plethora of trails to hike, available to people of any skill level such as; Garden of the GodsCheyenne Mountain Park, Red Rock Canyon and so many more. Golfing is very popular in Colorado Springs with numerous golf courses to choose from such as Pine Creek Golf Club, The Broadmoor Golf Club, Country Club of Colorado and even more. 

The weather in Colorado Springs can fluctuate quite a bit depending on the elevation. Areas such as the Black Forest see more snow and remain colder longer taking longer for the snow to melt. While other areas are very dry and see very little snow or rain. The temperature changes can be pretty drastic from morning to afternoon, for example, 40 degrees in the morning and by the time afternoon comes around it's sunny and 80 degrees, so layers are pretty much a necessity. Some areas in Colorado Springs find it very difficult to grow vegetation or keep their lawn lush and green, this is due to the lack of water and the beating the sun and the wind put on any new growth.
